100 Years and Counting

Utah 4-H is celebrating 100 years of youth development.  Wow!  What a big difference 100 years can make.

The Utah 4-H program began with potato growing clubs in Cache County in 1912.  From that humble beginning, the Utah 4-H program now boasts hundreds of projects, leadership and service opportunities at the club, county, state and national levels!

We invite everyone to be part of this momentous occasion.  In Weber County, we have several celebration events:
  • We hosted a 4-H Discovery Fair on February 11 with over 1,500 participants.
  • 5K & 1K Family Fun Run / Walk (May 12)
  • 4-H Celebration at the Weber County Fair (August 8-11)
  • Hands to Service Day (October 6)
In addition to these county events, the Utah 4-H Centennial Celebration will be held on July 12-14 at USU Campus in Logan.  All of these events will offer fun events for alumni, members, volunteers, families and staff.
